Nantong (南通 Nántōng, former names: Nan-t’ung, Nantung, Tungzhou, or Tungchow) is a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu province. The city is located on the northern bank of the Changjiang (Yangtze River) near the river mouth. Shanghai is just to the south across the river, and the East China Sea begins to the east.

According to historical research, Shaobing was passed down from west part of China in Han Dynasty(about 1940 years ago) by Ban Chao(AD32-AD102) who was a military strategist and ambassador.

The location is perfect, it's walking distance to downtown where you can see the modern Yangzhou, and it's also a quite place where you can have a sweet dream. Also, Dongguan Street has lots of local foods and interesting handicraft goods shops, you can enjoy here all day long.

Free Gao Min Temple is my favorite temple in Yangzhou, it's so peaceful that you can feel the buddhist teachings, there are also some gardens and vegetable filed here, sometimes I just want to escape the city and spend a whole day here.
