Opened back in 2007, Bricolage is a quaint and cosy spot which functions as a nice neighborhood brasserie-style venue. Located on the ground floor of a pre-war building, the staff at Bricolage like to pride themselves on their clean and basic style of ’home cooking’ which goes along with their welcomingly simple interior. Bricolage features a modern steel and wood interior set against the original walls and ceiling of the historic building. The entire length of the room is anchored by a cosy oversized banquette. It is not unusual to see classic French films projected on the restaurant’s wall such as Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday – a personal favourite of the owner. The films act more as atmospheric background than actual screenings, but the restaurant makes the looming projector available for private dinners and celebrations. Open for lunch, dinner and cocktails, Bricolage now also offers up tasty Sunday brunches, with a cuisine combination of Californian and Gaillic-inspired gastronomy from executive chef Joe Lau.
