兰桂坊嘉年华

Lan Kwai Fong is an avenue of festivities. On any date at any time, whatever the occasion, you can be guaranteed one of the numerous bars in the area will be celebrating it. They even celebrate when there is no cause for the celebration, and that is what the Lan Kwai Fong carnival is about; a commemoration to celebration. Held on a weekend in October, the annual carnival is now into its sixth year. There will be live entertainment from bands, clowns, magicians and Brazilian dancers, whilst a massive parade will stream through the street twice on both days. Lan Kwai Fong will be decked out with performance stages and over 80 booths usually line the street offering games and food samples from the various restaurants and bars around the area. A nearby amphitheatre provides a setting for various performances including pantomimes and comedian acts. At this carnival there should be just about be something for everyone, so there is no excuse to miss it.
