In Hong Kong there is always something going on. Hong Kong is extremely multicultural and very openly accepting, with almost every celebration in the world being recognised in some way or another here. Shops stay open throughout Sundays and public holidays (remember time is money, people) and when they say a shop is open for 24 hours, it really is 24 hours, 365 days a year. A lot of shops and businesses also join in with a lot of the main celebrations, putting up their own decorations and holding special events.

So it is no surprise that an event in Hong Kong may happen on any given day of the year, come rain or shine.
