Judging by the amount of A-List celebs regularly passing through the Grand Hyatt, one would only expect their main entertainment venture to be second-to-none. And second-to-none it is, with the majestically atmospheric Club JJ’s emerging in a sea of gothic emblems and imposing décor. Quite possibly the classiest lounge in Wan Chai, this place reeks of refined elegance which envelops you from the moment you enter and does not cease until you leave. Everything - from the jazzy third floor music room to the sleek martini bar and wine room - is designed for those with more money than sense, and that is undoubtedly a good thing. Be on the lookout for suave James Bond look-alikes and his Cuban cigar-smoking cronies, because they are the kind who fit in well here. The club features international DJ’s and there is also resident club band which plays to the house every night. In addition, there is even a modish Thai restaurant - JJ’s Thai and Grill - which offers Thai ingredients, freshly flown-in and served up alongside a selection of A-grade meat. Somehow this restaurant manages to fit perfectly into the JJ’s blend as well. With its exclusively inimitable interior decoration, remember to aim for the smart-casual at the very least.
