About Badges and Points

Badges and points are a way of recognizing the contributions that users have made. For each piece of content a user posts, they gain 1 point. As tour guides gain points they rise up in the rankings on the tour guides pages. After obtaining a certain number of points they gain one of the badges below.

Badge	Points	Comments
	5-24	The baby panda badge is for people that are just getting started!
	25-49	The toddler panda badge is for those that are starting to take off!
	50-99	The adult panda badge is for people that have contributed quite a bit!
	100+	The super panda badge is for those that are real stars!

How many points are awarded for each type of content?

1 point is awarded for each piece of content - Listings, Mini-albums (photos) and Reviews.

How come I lost some points?

It could be because some of your content was unpublished by a moderator. Content may be unpublished if it is:

• already on the website (such as when a duplicate Listing is added)
• duplicate (sometimes content is submitted twice by mistake)
• not appropriate (such as content that is not useful for travelers)
• also present on another website (exact duplicate content on another website)

You may have lost points due to posting content without much substance to it. For example, if you post 50 one-line comments, we may subtract points even though we don't delete the content.
