This masterpiece of French Renaissance architecture is one of the most beautiful castles situated in the Loire Valley. The construction of the chateau began in the first half of the 16th century, and at first, it wasn´t meant to be a residence during the entire year.

Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey is located on a small rocky island just one kilometer off the coast, at the mouth of the Couesnon River. The island is most famous for the medieval Benedictine Abbey and church inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

In the 17th and the 18th centuries Chateau de Versailles was the political center of France. Louis XIII moved to Versailles and transformed his hunting lodge into this beautiful palace in the 17th century. The Great Dune of Pyla (Pilat) with its 107 m above the sea level is the highest sand dune in Europe. It is located in the Arcachon Bay, some 60 km from Bordoux. The dune is also famous among visitors which is proven by the fact that over one million tourists come here every year.
