Air - If you are reading this, chances are you that you would choose air transportation for a trip to China.
Land - It’s possible to get to China from South-East Asia, Russia and Korea via rail transport. Bus routes into the country are also available.
Water - Ferries and Cruise Ships arrive at major ports in China. It’s also possible to take ferries inland via major waterways such as the Changjiang (Yangtze) River.

Transportation Between Cities in China
Train – The railway infrastructure in China is immense. Trains are safe and not too expensive. Good for mid to long range trips
Bus – This is less safe than the trains and not quite as comfortable. The plus side is that bus stations are usually very conveniently located. Good for short-haul trips.
Plane – Fastest between cities but traveling from the airport to the city center may be a hassle. Usually the most expensive. Good for long range trips if you have the money.
