With the American consulate just a couple hundred meters away, the Village BBQ’s authentic ribs and pulled pork dishes provide much needed relief to many Westerners in Chengdu. The Village BBQ’s chefs were trained by an American, and one would never know the difference. The option of pleasant outdoor seating or a quiet 2nd floor dining room is supplemented by a wide selection of imported beer and coffee. Those looking to socialize and mingle with a mix of foreigners can drink the night away on the front deck, taking in Chengdu’s comfortable cool night air. Alternatively, couples can enjoy a romantic evening in the tranquil upstairs dining room that features Spanish music and decor. The menu also includes a few Mexican and Spanish style dishes to compliment the 2nd floor’s ambiance. If you aren’t in the mood for some barbecue, Village BBQ also serves healthy portions of salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, and pizza.
The young, attentive, and friendly staff does everything in their power to make your meal as enjoyable as possible. Parties of 10 or more guests will receive a 15% discount off their entire bill. Each weekend features a different special, and desserts are "buy one, get one free" every weekend! Appetizers, soups, and salads range from Y5-20, entrees from Y15-50. For those who prefer to eat at home, Village BBQ also offers delivery, so swing by, introduce yourself, and pick up a delivery menu.
Directions: The restaurant is right on Renmin Nanlu, just south of the Sichuan sports arena and the first ring road. It is in the 4th section (duan) on the west side of the road.
