http://www.redlanternhouse.com Red Lantern House(北京红灯笼客栈[也称"仿古园"]) provides a quiet and cozy retreat amidst the hutongs of Beijing. The rooms encircle an indoor courtyard giving this hostel a special atmosphere.
Staff members are almost always available and are quite helpful. Internet access is only 6 yuan per hour which is definitely an acceptable rate for a hostel in Beijing.
 The one major drawback about this hostel is that is neither conveniently located nor very easy to find for somebody that doesn’t speak Chinese. Other internet sites and maps bend the truth to make it seem like Red Lantern House is close to Tiananmen and the subway, but in reality there are other hostels in this price range that are much more easily accessible.
How To Get There
From Jishuitan (积水潭) subway station walk 15 minutes south along Xinjiekou Bei Dajie (新街口北大街) to get to Red Lantern House.
