Manager Review
Samuel Gintel was born and raised in sunny Southern California. He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to study at the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated in May of 2005 with a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business. While it is possible to conceive that Sam’s stint at U.C. Berkeley fostered his interest in Asia as approximately 50% of the student body is of Asian descent, it is in reality that economic conditions combined with a lack of funds prevented him from traveling through Europe . Thus, within a few months after he graduated, Sam booked a one-way ticket to Singapore intending to travel around South-East Asia for three months. Those three months somehow ended up taking six months to complete, until he finally landed in China. Over a year later, Sam’s China excursions have still not been fulfilled as he currently resides in Kunming trying to satisfy his desire to be one with the locals.
He thoroughly enjoys the fresh air and beautiful weather of Kunming as well as exploring every nook and cranny the city has to offer. As the manager of the Kunming section of Synotrip, Sam loves sharing what he finds with anyone who is interested in visiting, moving to, or already lives in this city. He encourages anybody who has a question, comment, or concern about Kunming or Yunnan in general to email him.
