Markel Redondo, originally from Spain, graduated with a BA Honours degree in Photography and Video from the University of Bolton in the United Kingdom. During his BA studies Markel had the opportunity to spend nine months studying in Zhaoqing University, Guangdong Province, China. With his camera he travelled around China to Yunnan, Hunan, Guangdong, Xian, Beijing, Macao, and Hong Kong before returning to Spain by train through Russia, Poland, Germany and France.  He was subsequently awarded a scholarship to continue his studies and is currently completing a Masters degree in Photojournalism and Travel Photography at Bolton University whilst on an exchange program with Dalian Medical University in China.  Markel is eager to bring his images and insights about Dalian to Synotrip’s viewers.
