 Edward Boyle was born and raised in Yorkshire, Northern England. After graduating in History from University College London he embarked on his travels taking him to the Caribbean and Continental Europe, particularly Eastern Europe. He then decided to carry on East and came to Shanghai in 2004 to teach English with the British Council of Education and Training.
Since then he has been dividing his time between teaching English and studying Chinese at East China Normal University. He has travelled extensively throughout China and Korea but his main preoccupation is keeping up with what’s happening in what feels like the biggest boom town in the world.
